MMH5.5 is an unofficial expansion pack for HOMM5 Tribes of the East (standalone) or HOMM5 Complete. The pack will include many new adventure objects, new larger battlefields, new heroes, new classes, new specializations, new skills, new artifacts, new adventure spells, new HD textures and a greatly improved RMG with more than 60 'visualized' Templates. The AI is much more intelligent and calculated much faster. Balance is also greatly improved both for small competitive multiplayer maps as well as crazy XXXL maps with countless epic battles vs Neutrals and AI.

I can't get 5.5 to run anymore.
I deleted everything and started fresh.
I downloaded Heroes V from GOG, then downloaded ToE from GOG.
I then tried to download the patch 3.1, but it says that it cannot download
because ToE is not installed.
I went ahead and downloaded the (RC18f) since the game says it is version3.1 in
when starting up ToE
I dunno what is going on, if someone could troubleshoot me that would be amazing.

Gog installation is already 3.1 so you dont need to install the patch.
Just:
1. install from gog.
2. download the mod
3. install it by pointing the game directory
4. launch from MMH55_64.exe that comes with the mod

after i reinstalled everything it cant find hh55 config file so it launch base game

you need to point Tribes of the east directory when installing the mod.
The errors you get means you chose the wrong installation folder.
how to i know which folder to chose?
find the game directory for the original game and point to it as destination.
To be sure that is the correct folder, inside you will see more files some of them will have the following names - bin, data, maps

you did not install the mod in the ToE game folder.
Amazing mod!
I played it 1v1 on LAN without bots and had lots of fun, however:
Bots seem to not work currently in LAN games with the simultaneous turns option active, or am I mistaken?
+ Bot turns take a tremendous amount of times, from 3 to 5 minutes per bot player.
+ Every 2 or 3 turns after bots are done with their turns, only 1 player or no player at all is "unlocked" (the wooden door turn button stays dark) and able to move around, do stuff etc.
Bots work in multiplayer only if all players use MMH55_Utility_64.exe.

Seems very buggy, or am i missing something?
Neither Master of Pani, nor Master of curses etc. grant the corresponsing spell,like decay for example. Nothing added to the spellbook...
Goblins dont bring Gold with the perk, although they still spawn.
Played both the first ToE missions, just what i noticed immediately.
That points to bad installation or custom map/mod problem (Scripts do not work). I suggest to read the FAQ and check the guides in the tutorial section.
Was a fresh install. What fixed it was running the MMH55_utility_64.exe instead of the normal .exe in case anyone has the same problem.
No idea why it happened, just using the utility_exe from now on.
What are the changes in the rc18f version compared to earlier?

Is someone also experiencing problems with extreme latency in LAN?
Of course it works fine for Singplayer, same can be said about Standard HOMM5 TOTE version in which those latencies are acceptable.
But when i'm playing LAN in HOMM5.5 version 5.68f with my friend those latencies usually are as long as 2 to 6 seconds between every turn/animation etc.
Even small battles can take few minutes, also AI seems to make turn slowly, usually first turn takes him around 60seconds with one hero on small map.
We are playing via GameRanger using standard MMH55 with changed name for launching, game works fine in menu.
Can you try with Radmin ? Is there any difference?
can u add some more spells i mean shafling was no so great to pure summon school. and they miss out on friendly self cast spells since fantom is gone (
i also dont understand how to get spell for shaman with summon except from the tome of summoning. tome of all spells is a bit hard to get on campaign need another hero to bring a piece XD

I have just purchased HOMMV Bundle from GOG and installed MMH55_RC18f.exe in the same folder where the tribe of the east. My problem is the right bottom control panel appears half, I can not play :(

Hello, I want to install the HoMM 5.5 mod with its Spanish translation, my question is the following, should I install the last version of the mod (RC18f) together with the translation version (RC15 Beta 2) ?
If you install a translation that old with the newest version, you'll get a mix of English and Spanish, not to speak of the descriptions for mechanics have been changed but kept their text format, which will show Spanish text as it was in RC15 but function as changed in RC18.
It's up to you, but personally I wouldn't give up the latest version for an accurate translation. Your English looks pretty good, are you doing a setup for someone else? In that case it might be worth downgrading down to the translation version.
