Men of War is probably the best ww2 strategy game on the market, but it lacks most of all one thing: a skirmish mode where you can have huge battles against an AI player. It is a shame that you have so many units available that you can rarely use in the campaigns. Battlefield mode is a unique skirmish mode, more advanced than those you can find in Assault Squad, whose objectives are the following: • Create a challenging single player skirmish with a great variety of battles. • Build a sandbox to allow inexperienced players to set up their own scenario quickly given a prebuilt map.

Post news Report RSS UK demo video available + 2.0 changelog preview

I've published a new video showing some of the features available for the UK faction in the upcoming patch.

Posted by on

The video shows the general UK faction features and the new Royal Commando Support Command. In the video you can see the new support operations with gliders landing commando squads on the battlefield and the Hamilcar dropping a Tetrarch tank from its cargo bay. The patch will be released within few days, because I still have to script the AI of the new UK faction and update some other. I will post the preview changelog of the patch here:

NEW WEAPONS AND UNITS:

- Comet cruiser tank
- Bofors 40mm AA gun
- CQB team with incendiary grenades.
- UK Officers with artillery signals and flare guns.
- Churchill MK IV Crocodile
- Churchill MK VII

- BATTLEFIELD MODE:

- New UK faction for Battlefield Mode.
- 2 new maps for Battlefield Mode: Louvain and Tessel (thanks to Bassmaniac).
- Added Sd.Kfz. 222 and 223 for Germany (Panzer II Ausf. L replaces the 222 in the Panzergruppe Support Command).
- More AP ammo for static heavy machineguns (M2 Browning and Vickers).
