As update 0.9.2 nears release, the MWLL dev team would like to present some previews of what's to expect! Additionally, MWLL presents its first ever open testing event!

Your devs at MWLL are really hard at work, putting the finishing touches on update 0.9.2! This update will feature even MOAR content - the likes of which have never been seen in any other MechWarrior game to date! There's no exact release date set yet, but if all goes well release 0.9.2 should be out sometime during early March.

To celebrate this amazing upcoming release, we'd like to present our first official media release since reviving this project, and the first media release since MWLL reached its 0.5.6 update - almost six years ago! In these images, you will find the Anubis light 'Mech, the Mithras light tank, a surprise asset preview, and perhaps some other goodies! So, without further ado, here are your previews:

All of this content, and a hefty load of additional features and changes will be making it into update 0.9.2! That includes numerous bug fixes as well as map and asset variant changes (for one, the Oasis objects quality bug has been fixed, so potato computers can run it properly now), which should help make MWLL an even more exciting and balanced game to play! Some of these images were captured during our first ever Public Testing Event, which successfully took place over the weekend with overall positive results. We'll likely be running these PTEs again in the future, so stay tuned for such announcements!

In addition to the coming update, the MWLL community would also like to present an informal play event, where folks can simply get together and play some matches. The gamemode will be determined by how many people sign up and attend. This event will run on March 4th, from 2000 to 2200 GMT. The sign-up sheet is available here: Docs.google.com

Man I just can't wait for version 9.2 to come out. Each update just gets better.
All you MechWarrior fans out there who love Big Stompy Robots it's time to get back into the game or maybe you're a Tank driver or one of those Flyboys or maybe VTOL is more to your preference hell maybe you want to just play as an Elemental. Head over to MWLL as the Game Lives One. Select what you want to be how you want to play. Sniper, Brawler, Long-range Support , Recon the game has it all and more. Great helpful people, awesome game play, 3 modes of play, matches that go for an hour and it doesn't cost you anything but time having fun.
That's right you heard me no grinding no money … just fun.
Mods are the best.

Yet more new stuff! Really looking forward to the hill climbing 4 track Mithras tank and stealth armor Anubis light mech and how they will affect gameplay.

If you haven't played MWLL in awhile, the 3 types of bombs and new semi indirect Thumper artillery are great. Particularly how the Thumper shells scream in and doppler as they pass by. Good ways to get rid of anyone that attempts to camp too much or LRM spam.

Is is true that in MWLL one can play as tank or aero as well as mech pilot? I hear they spawn as battle armor and must buy an asset. Once it has been built, they still have to climb in the mech, tank or whatever they bought?

But, does it have artillery, can one call in an artillery strike? Or ride in an VTOL? Can anyone buy and Atlas or Daishi?

Yes you can buy a long Tom, they are hard to use and have no self defences though

I so wish wandering samurai would do a campaign mode. Multiplayer is great but a persistant campaign would be so sick.

Thing is, we're not WSS. We're all members of the community that have come together to continue development from where WSS left off.
A persistent campaign would be nice, but we lack the manpower to pull that off, and it currently isn't within the scope of development. If we had more people working with us, and had the human resources to allocate to a project like that (alongside MWLL's multiplayer aspect), we'd totally go for, though.
