The reapers have returned from dark space. With Earth under attack and the mass relays in a state of chaos from refugees and the councils fleet engaging reaper forces the galaxy is a mess. The outcome is unknown, the warfare is devastating. The galaxy will never be the same.
First seen in the Mass Effect film Paragon Lost, the Auckland Cruiser is the newest design to enter the Systems Alliance roster. Intended to replace the much older Hawking Light Carrier, the Auckland Cruiser will function as a fast response planetary assault ship.
A fast, armoured Auckland class response cruiser is the Systems Alliance attempt to solve doctrine problems highlighted most famously by the Skyllian Blitz.
The space gained from utilising modern miniaturised equipment and undersized broadside arrays in the wings left space for an entire Batallion of SA Marines as well as the hanger space to deploy 75% of the Batallion in a single drop with supporting Gunships.
