The L.U.R.K. team wants to provide the best possible experience from Stalker: Shadow of Chernobyl, we don't plan to skew the scope of this game, because I, like many others, fell in love with the game because of the story, the realistic gameplay, and the atmosphere. I plan to preserve and improve on that concept to the best of my abilities, and our team has vowed to do so as well. Which is why we took it upon ourselves to provide that experience. We want to fulfill a niche that's otherwise unfulfilled in the modding community. We want to bring as many features to Stalker without damaging or changing the original theme of the game. While improving upon that concept with features that were dropped off the development cycle from GSC, such as stealth AI, and a strong foundation for balance, as well as dynamic A-Life, and an unprecedented visual presentation that no other Stalker Overhaul can touch.

Uhm, am I wrong to say there is?

So how do I switch to third person mode in Lurk 1.1?

It's still the same as in some other mods. "F2" I believe.
They took out the vanity camera though.
Likely so they could make an attempt at a first person death cam angle.

Which still needs some work. You may need to turn off third person auto aim by changing some settings in the "system.ltx".scroll down to where it says:
[actor_look_cam_psp]

A little below that you'll find two settings.

autoaim_speed_y =

autoaim_speed_x =

Set them both to "0.0, 0.0"

And that should keep your camera from veering off course toward the nearest target, regardless of weather they are friendly or not.
Hopefully someone will add a way to toggle auto aim on and off for third person. Which would make it more useful.

They or someone else could perhaps then add a sort of blurring effect around the edges of the screen each time third person is toggled so as to limit the cheating effect of using it around corners and such.

Thats pretty much something that should be added to any game that includes third person in multi-player.
Not sure if stalker does, hadn't tried it yet.
