The L.U.R.K. team wants to provide the best possible experience from Stalker: Shadow of Chernobyl, we don't plan to skew the scope of this game, because I, like many others, fell in love with the game because of the story, the realistic gameplay, and the atmosphere. I plan to preserve and improve on that concept to the best of my abilities, and our team has vowed to do so as well. Which is why we took it upon ourselves to provide that experience. We want to fulfill a niche that's otherwise unfulfilled in the modding community. We want to bring as many features to Stalker without damaging or changing the original theme of the game. While improving upon that concept with features that were dropped off the development cycle from GSC, such as stealth AI, and a strong foundation for balance, as well as dynamic A-Life, and an unprecedented visual presentation that no other Stalker Overhaul can touch.

I've noticed that if it is dark and I am sneaking. Enemies will sometimes notice me anyways and walk right up to me, then just stand there and do nothing while I headshot them... Is this a feature or a flaw?

Definitely a feature.

I think its part of a bigger flaw, The sheer amount of dark that it took in vanilla stalker to make enemies not see you was phenomenal. I even had a pitch black mod that made the night pitch black as one of my first mods. Turn the flashlight off and you were damn invisible.I Think the lurk ai has hearing problems as well as visual problems, sure they can't see you if your behind a wall but they also forget your there in about 45 seconds. not to mention the military ai seems to be completely blind to the point of being ineffective, I managed to get the lab documents in broad daylight by shooting just two soldiers and not setting off an alarm at full run. They were oblivious to me but They sure saw the grenade I threw five feet, they even ran straight past me.Also another interesting glitch; Hugging a tree makes you intangible to them, I managed to low crouch next to the tree at the top of the hill near the cordon and took out 10 or so military units on hell difficulty with just a toz-98 or whatever its called. I was using it ironically because it was more accurate at distance than the AK's were.Bandits are much more fun to play with but they only see you if your within 50 feet for some reason, I have however enjoyed my fights with duty at long range.
