The L.U.R.K. team wants to provide the best possible experience from Stalker: Shadow of Chernobyl, we don't plan to skew the scope of this game, because I, like many others, fell in love with the game because of the story, the realistic gameplay, and the atmosphere. I plan to preserve and improve on that concept to the best of my abilities, and our team has vowed to do so as well. Which is why we took it upon ourselves to provide that experience. We want to fulfill a niche that's otherwise unfulfilled in the modding community. We want to bring as many features to Stalker without damaging or changing the original theme of the game. While improving upon that concept with features that were dropped off the development cycle from GSC, such as stealth AI, and a strong foundation for balance, as well as dynamic A-Life, and an unprecedented visual presentation that no other Stalker Overhaul can touch.

I remember way-back-when we'd had discussions about changing the bullshit accuracy of the AI, the bullshit insanely high recoil of most of the rifles in the game, and stuff like that - unfortunately I can't remember where that information is, and with a new install of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. I find myself needing it again. Anyone know? Some links would be nice, but a copypasta is fine too.

Actually I believe the file is in C:Program Files/THQ stalker OR Steam/steamapps/common/Stalker Shadow of Chernobyl then in the Gamedata folder I believe it's in Weapons/( weapon ) OR Creatures/m_ ( enemy )(that includes snorks, Mutants, Army, Bandits and stalker as each have their own individual file)

Upon saying that I also need help, I'm getting rather sick of the 35kg weight limit, I've tried changing the actor, actorGOD and actorNORM files but no matter which file I change the Max carry mass of It doesn't change anything. The thing puzzling me is that Its got a 35kg value somewhere but all the values I'm finding for weight are 50kg or the vanilla 80kg.

Thanks for any help or advice

To change weight, open system.ltx under gamedata/config, find the "max_weight = 35" line, and change it to what you want your maximum weight to be.
Open actor.ltx in gamedata/config/creatures, find the line "max_item_mass = 50.0" and change it to what you want your maximum overloaded weight to be (aka where you can't walk at all).
Then find the "max_walk_weight = 40" line and change it to what your maximum underloaded weight to be, aka, where your stamina and stuff drains at a normal rate, and not the phenominal rate that it drains when overloaded.

Personally though I would rather than you keep the 35KG weight limit because we put it in there for a reason and I'm tired as shit of people being invincible packmules with 5000 medkits. But whatever.

Thanks Panzerdraco, and to be completely honest I'm only going to change it to 40kg or perhaps 45 at the very most.
