i never played it :D btw, this is radar from soc... a bit edited :)
cool... the vanilla radar lvl was just full of cliffs and it was sooo corridor-ish

Finally radar becomes a location, wich you can explore, not only shooting and run from enemies.
What's funny is that a DX8 renderer makes shame to modern games.
Some years ago that stuff would have been called fake and a render.
Very true, when i saw the first Stalker trailer i was just amazed and after taht i thought that it was just bogus untill i saw the frist gameplay vid.
It just looks stunning, i still get goose bumps from it Youtube.com
And i must congraduate dez0wave for creating this absolutely incredible game (mod is too small of a deffinition :D) and capturing that same eerie and breath-taking atmosphere.
First trailer I saw was back in 2004 I thinks. It showed a bunch of video from the actual Chernobyl incident and liquidators, mixed in with a couple gameplay shots of shooting flesh with a heavily modified AR-10 (7.62 version of M16) in Military Warehouses or Agroprom... 'Twas what got me hooked to STALKER. Can't believe I waited 3 years to play the game after that. On another note, I like that trailer you link to. Shows the awesome AI and animation work they gave up.
