Hm... Mountains in that part of Ukraine? Doubtful. Are you sure?
according to the old loading screen of the map, there were such rocky areas :) ( link: Chernobyl.extra.hu )
and this is a game, not a remake of a non existing part of the zone. :)
Maybe "mountains" are result of some anomalous tectonic activity in the Zone.
