Yeah, why they prefer DX8 is because weather cycles look better (if I remember correctly).

COP made the mistake of having large open areas but still so little to find from them(timeline may had something to do with it, since places have been looted by stalkers already). And as this is supposed to be the Streloks first trip to center of the Zone, I hope (most) buildings would be lootable, to bring that stalker atmosphere of scavenging.

Yeah CoP is kind of empty without respawning stashes, mutant bits or even many enemy stalkers.

Many people asked us about dx9 render. we still say, we prefer to use static lightning mode, but since we never showed dx9 screens, we decided to lay out some. these are just tests, and this weather does not fit fine for dx9, so we might consider using SWO for this render mode, or coop with Trojanuch to make something nice for LA.
