It's called a tracer.
The insurgents outside of the school 'liberated' a SAW and turned it against the Marines.
Wtf no. why would a SAW have a laser? its to inaccurate for one.
Saws certainly do have tracers usually. Inaccurate or not, its still useful to have a general idea of where you're bullets are landing.

SAW's aren't inaccurate. The only thing that makes them inaccurate is the recoil if you hold down the trigger too long, the bullets go wherever you point it. Tracers help the gunner know where his rounds hit, so he can adjust fire without looking down the sights completely.
