just a question... isnt it easier to just model it in a 3d program like 3ds max or blender?
it is if you have those. Alot of people in the community think it is OK to use a rip of software programs torrented from the net to make items for a mod. Personally, I use what is available in the SDK or other programs I own or that are free. I don't own any of those, but our other modellers do.
