The goal of this mod is to bring back the units from the original Homeworld into the Homeworld 2 engine, with high quality texture and polycount detail. The campaign and animatics from the original game will also be included.
relaxing from the kushan for a while, here's the Taidan Scout Remastered.
This is one of my favorite models in Hw1, i'll keep working on the textures, but here's the geometry finished.
Awesome, very well done, great work. Only the bottom pair of wing seems to be a bit small, but I love to see a Taiidan ship in a better more detailed shape.
This looks awesome! That's plenty of work you spend here!
This looks awesome, by the way could you use the remade models from the HW2 Taiidani Project?
It would save pretty much time too.
Taiidani Project doesn't agree with my work, i was kicked out and they don't have any updates in months...
Technically you could turn directly to Dark Sentinel about that, it might be worth a shot.
Really nice model and texture enhancements! But I have to agree with "Pouk" the lower wings are to small. Please try to stay as close as possible to the original layout. It also seems that their angular is a bit off the scale compared to the original one.
I think what is being seen there is more a slight difference in camera angle than the wings being off.
If you notice (compare by look at the guns) the top one is actually seen from a little below it. While the bottom one is seen from slightly above.
You are rigth, it's the perspective.
Nice to see this game still gettin some love after all this time. Keep it up.
Why wouldn't it, Homeworld deserves it. :)
I really like it although I think the guns look a little to long.
I see a name change of the mod. I also see a very good Taii scout.
You don't want to mess with the shape or angle of the wings. Also I think the "cobra hood" along the sides are a bit too thin.
Textures are coming along nicely so far.
"cobra hood"??? I didn't get that?
The wide shields alongside the cockpit that look just like cobra with its spread neck -hood.
The hood starts at the cockpit and ends before the wings.
If you know a better name for the shape...?
(shield isn't accurately descriptive)
Here I was thinking about how perfectly fitting the term cobra hood actually is and how come I never thought about it myself and I end up on the side that supposedly can't select a proper name for it. You can never predict how others will see your comments.
