The goal of this mod is to bring back the units from the original Homeworld into the Homeworld 2 engine, with high quality texture and polycount detail. The campaign and animatics from the original game will also be included.

actually prefer the idea of corvettes designed for boarding than salvage corvettes one of the few things i liked on homeworld 2 compared to homeworld original. fave homeworld one ships were multi-gun corvette and repair corvette for kushan. hoping sphere formation will be put back in used to sell all captured frigate ships just before entering the nebula to create drone frigates and create a sphere formation of them around my mother-ship then using them to wipe out kadesh.

The F-ing HW2 engine limit us to only 3 formations for the moment, and they are not really formations they are just Strike groups, and that is not the same at all.

Just curious, is it possible to improve the existing workaround you have for the lack of a salvage script by implementing "capture vulnerability"? As a rough example, perhaps a capital class vessel becomes easier to board and capture after its health is reduced below 35% or something.

Just an idea I thought I'd try throwing out there, :)

Since the Salvage script is yet to be researched, as a placeholder we are using the HW2 style capturing style, but with 80 seconds per capture point, to make it more challenging since HW1 use corvettes rather than frigates, also the disabling time it is extended to 300 seconds making it more punishing.
