The goal of this mod is to bring back the units from the original Homeworld into the Homeworld 2 engine, with high quality texture and polycount detail. The campaign and animatics from the original game will also be included.
The Turanic Raider "Bandit" Interceptor remastered, with original for comparison.

No, it's just a detail. All the units will be exactly the same, only the graphics will be improved.
You probably know this, but the texture on the right engine is off.
The only thing I see not improved between the original and the new is the circular (now oval) texture between the engines. The new oval shape is okay, but I prefer the clean look of the old one to the blury look of the new.
I look foreward to seeing what you do with the engines and the bottom of the fighter.

Ingame, it is called "Fighter". I have no problem with having the description say:
"Bandit-class Interceptor
Role: Anti-fighter"
Look if the bandit would be called bandit, that would be that the Ion array would be called Dagger Class Ion array Frigate till the cloak upgrade and then getting the name changed to Assassin class Ion Array, I mean to reflect HW1 as much as possible the name on the Bandit should be Fighter, the description could mention it's role and name.
About the Ion array frigate it's name should be Ion array frigate in game, in the description mentioning it's role and what it's good for after the upgrades. This frigate has more firepower and turning speed than it's counterparts but has weaker armor.
