Okay, I see what you mean by more work ahead. I just want to say the bumps on the 'bridge' are a little too prominent imo. That section of the ship is what distinguishes it the most from the HW2 mothership, so you don't want to change the bridge too much.
I agree. I'm not sure in I like that angled spike at the bottom that supports the sensors It looks a little to slanted, imo.
You might be right, but i was going for a mix between the concept and the original.
I think if you keep the original design but improving it that would look awesome, like maker all the details of the mothership of the right on the mothership to the left, who knows I might be wrong to?
Maybe it's just me, but I never liked the model or texture job on the original mothership, and I wouldn't mind if everything _except_ the bridge was changed to be like the concept art.
You'll never please everyone when toying with the most iconic HW1 ship Jkberna, so I suggest you make whatever changes you think produces the best final result, and leave it at that.
Make up yur mind H_D, first you tell me not to change too much, now you tell me to change almost all?? :D
Updating the model, is easy, the hard will be the texture, it was really too small for such a important ship.

no need for that yet. the worst is that red platting, it's hard to redo.
