Why did they replace the spirits with Phantoms in all the games except the first one? Spirits look cooler Imo

I imagine they figured the Spirit was a good transport, but wanted to go more towards the transport/ gunship role like the Phantom. Spirit just never looked much like a weapon, but more of a utility.

i know the covies used the Phantom as a gunboat... could we possibly get that a strike squadron that is kinda like a heavy bomber, but only has one craft per squadron on the hangar? it would give it a heavy hitting power against caps and structures but since there is one per squadron, it would make it so you can't just swarm the enemy with them like you can Banshees (which admittedly works)

There was a mix of the two in Reach, which I thought was neat. Also I think Phatnoms look way better, personally.

According to Bungie Lore. The Covenant Encountered on Halo was only a Light Recon Expedition So they had Lighter and equipment. and that's why in every game EXCEPT Halo Reach. The phantom is the main carrier of troops..

Remove the hex pattern. The texture is too small and hex patterns are only ever seen up close. Instead, work on bigger texture details like surface dirt/wear.

Ok but I think that there should be glassing and instead of drop pods they should have spirts and phantoms for the covanant

The Covenant invaded to search for sacred relics prior to glassing. Planetary MACs also had to be shut down by invasion forces.

i prefer spirits, they look like they can carry vehicles better vs phantoms.

Description

Thanks to MrTaxiKiller over at Evolutions (the Command and Conquer 3 Halo mod) we're getting a few smaller ships to help fluff out the mod. Next release you'll see the Covenant deploy Spirits and Phantoms during planetary invasions.

(Taxikiller has said that he isn't super happy with the Spirit's texture, so it's getting an update. We'll show you the Phantom when it's done, as well as the other things that they're working on for us.)
