So will these be left by destroyed ships or parts of the map as props? if part of the game as destroyed ships, how long will the duration of the wreckage last? great work once again
Shipwrecks definitely, but no idea on the despawn duration.
When a ship is destroyed it will leave custom wreckage behind. It'll stay around for a bit and then pop out, to ensure we don't have crashes.
Could you make it so the blast from the destroyed ship makes the wreckage slowly drift away out of sight and then disappear?
I would be cheeky and request forever but then I realized playing online with 1000+ ships and huge fleets this would cause on issue and extreme performance hits or even on an AI skirmish game. It would be nice though to have them floating around for a long time so I get the hint I suck at leading the UNSC's huge 4000 ships and capital ships just to loose them against the covenant haha.
The only thing I will feel is victory as my ships tear apart covenant ships and turn them into nothing more than space junk >:) But honestly if there is going to be a model for every ship then loosing an Infinity Warship will be even worse, I mean loosing a titan is already hard but having to look at the corpse of one will be hard.
