Do you think it would be possible that if you are landing (bombarding) a army on a planet and you zoom in close you hear radio chatter from the ground troops? UNSC calling for air support and calling out flanking covenant and some Wort Wort Wort for the Covenant? It'd could be a nice little touch I think. Regardless I eagerly await your next release and drool over the masterpiece that is this mod.

Actually, it could. Replacing the sound effects for planet bombing, and replacing them with chatter, would work.

Awesome idea DarkAssullt!

ALSO, BEFORE THE MOD, WITH THE ADVENT'S REVELATION BATTLECRUISER, THE ULT SOUND IS DIFFERENT COMPARED TO THE NORMAL BOMBING. SO I BELIEVE IT IS POSSIBLE TO CHANGE UP THE SOUND

Not to mention that some of the planet bombing sound effects sometimes come from the ships themselves (the Vasari bombing lasers, for example). So radio chatter could especially work on the Covie side of the battle... for UNSC, considering there's TWO effects (in the current version), one that is the launching of the Pelican "projectile," and the other that is the "projectile" impact, it's not do-able, but maybe with their next release they could implement that. I personally think they're at a matter of getting the major stuff done and then doing the little tweaks here and there (which is sometimes the list when it comes to game/mod development), so you can't really blame them. But I am not saying it's IMpossible, because it really is possible. ;)

I'm just a coder on the team but, that IS actually possible. Sins uses 3 sounds mainly. 1. Firing the weapon from ship. 2. Travel sound 3. explosion sound.
The explosion sound can be replaced with radio chatter.

Actually that could be possible. They could have it as part of the planetary bombardment audio effect. They could have radio chatter discreetly placed in the background of a laser sound or an explosion.

It's just you probably don't have a way for the game to use x sound for planet bombardment SPECIFIC to the target planet being bombarded. Essentially, what I mean is, you are getting radio chatter of UNSC troops on the ground, whilst glassing (bombarding) a shield world that hasn't yet been touched by anyone, just lots and lots of sentinels most likely, so there is no way there could be any troops there. However, if it were, as you say, discreetly placed, and in the background, so it's rather faint, as well as making it rather vague as to what is being said even if anything at all, then I'd say go for it.

Description

We've finally sorted out the issues with the Covenant transports. This will be the "heavy" variant of the Covie invasion effect. Standard will not include Seraph escorts. Special thanks to MrTaxiKiller from Evolutions, the Halogen successor mod on C&C 3 for making the Spirit and Phantom. Seraph provided by Homefront, the Homeworld Remastered Halo mod.

Note that this is just the normal invasion effect, we're still working on plasma bombardment and glassing beam effects that are all coming as part of the next version of SotP.
