Welcome to Half-Life: Final Run. Final Run takes place after the "Apprehension" episode in the original Half-Life. Instead of being thrown into that trash compactor, you are transported to the Black Mesa Jail.
Here follows the new radio transmission:
"So where are we going with this Freeman guy anyway?"
"Topside for questioning."
"What the hell for, we got him. Why not just kill him now?"
"Because you already radioed the General that we got him, dumb ass!"
You awake from your beating bruised and dazed. You notice some security guards dead on the lower levels. It seems that a group of them banded together to try and free some of the prisoners........they failed. However they have also helped you. During the firefight the locking mechanism for the cell doors is damaged. You can now make a Final Run for freedom.
Final Run will feature newer enemies, new textures, etc.

Just went through a bunch of HL1 Mods, both of some I'm watching and some that I'm not. The worst news I saw was the HL: Nightwatch has officialy died. After reading this I came to this decision.....
I DON'T CARE IF IT TAKES ME 2 MORE YEARS, I WILL FINISH THIS MOD!

I finnaly also have a stable HD running XP Pro. Went through all my old drives (many aday of master and slave jumping) and found four different copies of HLFR :(
Seems everytime the comp started going I swapped in a new drive. Went through all of them and I'm now down to one copy so it looks good so far. Although I'm unsure about my wad packs. gotta go get WALLY and find out.
GOOD NEWS FOR STEAM USERS!!!
STEAM sees HLFR and plays it FINE. Although now my red backrounds and GUI Menus are useless as STEAM has a fixed backgroung for each game. So you see Gordon in all his Shotgun totting glory instead of my red one. Oh well....

*sigh* on and off, on and off. I am progressing very slowly. Between school and bugs in the levels (Vis and rad = obnoxiously bright level) i'm not working too fast. And sometimes I'll be on a mapping binge forget to save and then Hammer gets some error and crashes. and someother times I get sidetracked and make a prefab that has noting to do with the game.
HOWEVER!!!! The new and improved (in my sight anyways) Hazrd Couse is almost complete. As is the first episode (although short) "Jailbreak".

Sorry I can't do it for HL Source. Maybe after I release the full mod someone else can take it and redo it.
My comp can't handle it.
