Development on Half-Life: Escape Velocity has halted. We apologize to the people who tracked its progress and were looking forward to it. The models have been donated to other mod teams, so kindly do not ask for them. You'll likely see them in one form or another.
A word of advice to burgeoning mod teams: lock your pre-production concent. A big part of Escape Velocity's demise was the constant adding of bigger things and better ideas.
I had a great time trying to bring this project to life, but it was not to be.

After...well yes, it's been years, Escape Velocity's profile at Moddb has been updated.
All media on the site was recently update, and accordingly, our profile here received the same update. Our Image Gallery has been put to good use, for once.
Please tell us what you think of what we're trying to do in our forums.

It's no news anymore, but an official statement is in order, even if it is 21 months overdue.
Half-Life: Escape Velocity is indeed no more. Its members have moved on to bigger and better things. The models, which were probably the main attraction point, given all the requests I got for them, have been donated to other mod teams, headed up by people dear to me. And not windbags messaging me with 'd00d giv me teh modelz plz ty'.
Thanks to all those who have supported us back in the day.

Sure you can. Here they are-- oh wait that's right my IQ is equal then or greater to that of a coffee cup. Please, get lost, nobody needs model beggars. If you're going to request for the models, at least have the courtesy to make an ass out of yourself in proper English. Escape Velocity is dead, and has been for awhile. Team members were a little reluctant to admit it. Sorry to dissapoint.

I too know nothing, and haven't for about a year.
I think you are pretty safe to say that we are no longer working on this mod. I am in no form a spokesperson for the MOD and the rest of our team, though being a beta tester and having never beta tested anything for the team is a good indication I think. Also there being 9 months to a year between updates on this site, and recently our site has gone down (domain no longer exists) and I don't think Manix plans on bringing it back up, unless he hears otherwise from Bite_Me. On that note the last I spoke with Bite was (according to MSN) goes back to October of '04. And thats when I formatted my computer so its probably been later.

What is it with people automatically assuming something is dead just when it isn't active on the net for a while? You should be happy! They're to busy behind the scenes to report about it in public!
(And yes, lots of stuff is happening. I'm not part of the team, but I do have a few insights..)
