The mod you are trying to view has ceased development and consequently been archived. If you are a member of this mod, can demonstrate that it is being actively developed and will be able to keep this profile up to date with the latest news, images, videos and downloads, please contact us with all details and we will consider its re-activation.
Development on Half-Life: Escape Velocity has halted. We apologize to the people who tracked its progress and were looking forward to it. The models have been donated to other mod teams, so kindly do not ask for them. You'll likely see them in one form or another. A word of advice to burgeoning mod teams: lock your pre-production concent. A big part of Escape Velocity's demise was the constant adding of bigger things and better ideas. I had a great time trying to bring this project to life, but it was not to be.
Ever since we got Chip to code for us, things have gone incredibly smooth. That usually means something bad is looming on the horizon, but let's not think of that...yet. The marine's code has been adjusted and tweaked, so now they're an even fiercer adversary than they were before. You don't want to

The marine's code has been adjusted and tweaked, so now they're an even fiercer adversary than they were before. You don't want to run into a squad of these guys, especially if one of them is carrying a SAW...
This progress has allowed me to set a 'deadline' for the demo. We will be releasing one around X-Mas (the way things are going, that might even be early December). Here's a small list of the features you'll get in the demo:
-four quality maps from the 27 that will feature in the full game (well...mod), set in the airfield.
-all weapons from Half-Life have been updated (coding and modelling-wise) and they'll now be joined by the Desert Eagle and SAW.
-the marines will hunt you down, flush you out and let you meet Mr. 5.56mm. While some classes are being kept secret, in the demo you'll fight grunts with an assortment of weapons and the medic. And aliens too, of course.
-use of the High-Definition pack from Gearbox Software, although all those models have been edited to perfection and will look the business.
-I'm no good at hyping.
Meanwhile our forums are being rebuilt by Manix, and our servers are still enduring maintenance, so our site may still have some issues. Don't worry, when it's back up, some new emdia will be the consolation prize.

We have just decided upon a new feature in the demo.
Besides the usual arsenal, you'll be able to fire...the MP5SD!
There's a picture of this gun on the site. You'll find that this gun will come in handy for when you've got to take out a target at a distance without attracting too much attention.
