Have you been looking for the ultimate Half-Life 2 overhaul but MMod doesn't really improve a lot graphically and Cinematic Mod ruins the feel of the vanilla game? Then this modpack is for you. This game not only improves the gunplay but also the visuals while still maintaining the original Half-Life 2's visuals and gameplay.

This modpack features:
- Revisioned Guns and Gunplay

Installation (MAKE SURE YOU HAVE MMOD AND RESHADE INSTALLED BEFORE INSTALLING):
- Download the Modpack
- Go to your Steam Folder > steamapps > sourcemods > HL2MMod_[game name you wish to modify here] and drag all contents of the "Half Life 2 Redux" folder into the "custom" folder
- Get Aperture Reshade from this link Moddb.com and install it. Keep in mind you'll need Reshade for this to work but there should be instructions on how to install Reshade on the Moddb page for Aperture Reshade.
This modpack is prone to crashing quite a few times, to say the least. Here are some of the fixes I found for the following crashes:
Open the console and type r_drawmodeldecals 0 in. By doing this, I have seen the most occuring crashes eliminated and I haven't noticed any real differences.
"Invalid or corrupt background texture materials/console/background01_widescreen.vtf"
Just restart thegame. That's literally the best solution I have for this without going too in-depth.

As you might have noticed, this is a rather important update. But for the better, not for the worse. You see, recently I have been approached by a certain someone that offered me to do a collaboration with them on making the most ambitious Half-Life 2 modpack there is. After some talk, I decided to jump on board. Half-Life 2: Redux will now be continuing Development as Half-Life 2: Amalgam Zenith instead.
What does this mean for Half-Life 2: Redux?
It means Half-Life 2: Redux is not canceled. In fact, I'd even go as far as to say it's the complete opposite of canceled. Half-Life 2: Redux's future has never looked or could of looked this good before I took the collaboration offer.
For future updates on the project, follow the Amalgam Zenith page. I will be providing a build of what Half-Life 2: Redux was gonna look like before I took the collaboration soon since that version of the modpack will cease development now.

how do you download?
I've been testing and tweaking half life 2 for years. i have HL2, EP1, EP2 remasters, I fix old mods too get them working with the latest textures etc.. i love doing it.
