We are happy to show you the first images from Grey, a modification being in development for two months. The project is based on the Source engine, and we will try to utilize all the possibilities and graphics features that this platform offers . As you can see, we are already experimenting with simple color correction, custom decals and models.
The player will take his adventure on the dirty streets of Bridgeville and other places like the character’s home, workplace, the Carrico Car Service and the City Hospital.
The story starts in one of the bars of the town where Grey, the main protagonist is about to take a break. However, while he is in the restroom, everything changes around him: the place goes completely silent and deserted: when he walks out of the toilet, he finds no one in the building. The player's task is simple: find out what is happening around Grey by investigating his past and learning about his life. During the journey, there will be many puzzles to solve and enemies to be defeated by logic and skill.
Currently, two people work on the modification, who create the maps, models and textures required for the game. We do not have any programmers at the moment - but at the moment, we are not even in need of one, as we are focusing on the mapping, modelling and texturing assets. Thanks for reading our news post, and please check out our ModDB profile if you are interested in our modification.
looks very good, i'll keep watching
It's good to see that you do not rely on stock HL2 models but create your own custom assets instead. I hope to play this mod some day. Keep up the good work! :)
Awesome, it's one of my favourit HL2 Mods, because it don't really look too much Half Life. So keep up the good work! Just one question is left: do you create a new HUD (or revise the old) and do you want to include new weapons (later in the development)?
Who knew! Bathrooms make you immune to the apocalypse!
Good and interesting!
Good Luck in the work!
Despite not being the biggest fan of horror games, this mod does sure look promising. The atmosphere in those screenshots looks perfect.
Reminds me of Mentality...
looking spooky, keep up the good work :D
Good luck with the development, it's looking very promising.
Looks promising.
Quite fine looking things here... I'm tracking.
