GOREFLOWER takes place in the dystopic North American Corporate Territories. Earth has reached its terminal end-position, yet cruelly prevented from dying a long awaited death. The machinic corpse-landscape has been left to degenerate into an open air mausoleum by decades of human negligence.
HEAVEN is real.
You are an 4NG/3-L.
SEC2.STORY
Freshly disconnected from the HIGH COURT's oppressive veil-network, you awaken on the corpse of a world you were never allowed to know existed. Your body is a dying machine, and without regular maintenance checks from HIGH-COURT technicians you will surely - no, guaranteed - perish. Such is the vicious cycle of planned obsolescence for your kind. Worse yet, you are hunted by who was once your beloved counterpart: a SERAPH unit, ORION-1326. Capture means a fate worse than death.
SEC3.CW
GOREFLOWER contains themes of sexual violence, explicit violence, self-destructiveness, suicide and self-harm. This is not to be taken lightly. If you are sensitive to any of these topics, you may want to reconsider playing and return when you will be less affected.
This game expects a lot out of you. Saves will be limited and the time in-between them will be uncomfortably long. Your excursions will fail and must be retreated from, costing even more lost time. With that said, this is not needless difficulty for the sake of satisfying sadistic violence against the player. What will you sacrifice or abandon on the path towards your end position?

They revel in any form of absolute terror, stringing the skinned corpses of their authoritative or financial victims along traffic lights. They're also quite fond of carbombing and chemical weapons, loosely tied to their initial inspirations in the cult AUM SHINRIKYO. A common slogan or ideology amongst their kind is that "the only world is no world", and they will fight relentlessly towards the complete elimination and acceleration of the world at large so that something more beastly may arise from it.
They're also very fond of biohacking, or really anything that separates them from the definition of "human".

Neurotic corporate-bought pigs with itchy trigger fingers. In wealthier districts off of the mainland they operate in a more presentable fashion, but within the curfewed REGION 17 under lockdown they act as more of a roaming death squad. Some recruits are augmented with special respiratory filters enabling them to stay in toxic industrial environments and/or superconductive muscle fiber for improved reaction time.

Automated Retrival Carapaces (ARC). Extradimensional HIGH-COURT manufactured skeletons of their previous victims, reinforced with an aluminum alloy and infused with an inhuman desire for carnage. Light, extremely fast and deadly, they're visibly otherworldly and difficult to pin down due to their direct psychic assaults and how they can literally vibrate the air around them.
No two ARCHANGELS are exactly the same. They each have their own skills, arsenal, personality and even IQ, and it's all due to the isolated synthetic consciences held inside - fleshy sacks of what used to be living, breathing human beings. God only knows what that red fluid flowing through them is, because it's certainly not blood - only tastes like it.
They're also scary as hell.
