Shorter Demo vid of GfG#2 ( 11 min )
Aug 23, 2008 Full Version 1 commentThis is a short demo video of GfG#2 for those that don't need to see the entire player experience.
You knew she lied about where she worked. When she went missing you vowed to find her.
Your search has led you to the foot of Yucca Mountain where local people say they have seen her. As you explore the mountain side you uncover something you weren't meant to see, never mind USE. Be aware of your surroundings, because your skills will be tested before you reach the end of this adventure.
SPOILER ALERT:
GfG#2 is an adventure in two parts. In part one you will explore the mountain and discover a facility. In part two you activate a machine that flips gravity, flooding and destroying the facility. You must then escape alive and stop the expansion of the "Grav anamolie" before it reaches a nearby city.
if you have fun with this, please check out my UT04 mod, " At the Moment of Madness "
you need to put the map here: C:\Documents and Settings\\My Documents\My Games\Unreal Tournament 3\UTGame\Published\CookedPC\CustomMaps
then it should show up with your instant action death match maps.

Thanks everyone for your support! Part 2 is coming while part three waits in the wings. Part 2 picks up right where part 1 left off and plans to "flip you out" again bu this time in a new way. Spread the word!

This is a movie of GfG#2's gameplay incase you have trouble loading the map or solving the puzzles. The movie is about 20 min at 412mb.
This is a version of the map with some MAJOR sound problems adressed. We cooked the older version on my machine and my low end harware sound was baked...

I just finished playing and have to say I was completely caught off guard. This is an absolutely amazing mod and a must-download. The environments are so immersive and the attention to detail is fantastic. I really hope you guys continue to make a lot more. There were a few issues where I would see floating hands extending from my body and some small annoyances pertaining to ladder issues, but other than that it was perfect. Thanks!
I have a problem I don't have the published folder in my game I have the unpublished folder. Maybe it is because I am using the steam engine?
im confused. your trying to open this in the steam engine? are you saying that the "published" folder doesnt exist? if thats the case then, create it! make a new folder and call it "published" just create any folders that arnt there and your comp will know what to do. good luck!
This looks AWESOME.
congratz on the single player mod of the year nomination body!
I've voted for the mod, it was perfect!
Interesting... but, Well?
You have got to finish this.... In the moment of madness was awesome your demo level was awesome.... you just need cutscenes and voice actors to make it perfect :D
Only watched the video just because my graphics card can barely push UT3 on its own. From the vid though, the map looked great, was Prey used as inspiration at all on this? The way the map twists to the player reminded me of it. Its kind of a collision of Prey and Bioshock to me. Very nice job!
~Death Dream~
Well I would have a look to see how you did it but i cant open the map without it crashing, also how did you manage to get the 'grunting' noises that normally occur to stop?
Thanks!
