If you are reading this then that means the USA Beta V1.0 has been authorized for download. But before you dive in there are a few things you should know...


China and GLA aren't in it. The other factions aren't in it. Only USA factions are in this beta. The other factions aside from the USA are not in this beta. This beta only has the USA faction ready for play. The USA side is the only faction you can use in this beta. Only the following factions: VUSA, USAX, USA Laser, USA Superweapon, and USA Airforce are available in this beta.

Very little balancing has been done because technically this mod is still in testing mode.


So don't pick random, lest you be fairly disappointed.


Extract everything in the .rar folder into your main ZH directory, If you wish to play this mod along with others, see this guide for help.

Additional notes:
- Your must have ZeroHour patched to 1.04
- This mod uses custom AI, so make sure to backup the ZH "Data/Scripts" folder by moving it or renaming it to prevent conflict.

I don't know why, I have only the GenX mod in my ZH folder, my ZH is patched to version 1.04. I don't know where is the fail, is it possible, that this mod only works with the american version of ZH?

Great mod - this has awesome potential. A few things I'll mention:

The laser Paladin cannon shouldn't "pulse" like a tank cannon, it's a laser so there wouldn't be any recoil IRL. The way the laser Paladin in SW fires looks more realistic.

The voice for the Thor Gunship doesn't fit the USA at all, it sounds Russian and the one-liners are too dramatic, more like China.

Some glitches I noticed -

In the Alpine Assault skirmish map, the train on the map goes over the tunnel on the bottom right section of the map, instead of going through the tunnel.

Some units (like the Orca) use lines from other units which use the same voice. (the Orca uses "stealth commanche" lines).

Alexander's Zeus Cannon does not appear to fire if you watch the super weapon structure (though the weapon itself does hit the target).

The Super Weapon General AI does not build or create anything.

Alexander's "deployable" units (ex. the Spartan) can't be undeployed, and they can be sold like structures (in which case they just disappear).

The AI is very poor - even on the hardest difficulty the AI will barely attack at all.

Alexander's deployable units do not redeploy on purpose. It is due to engine limitations. I made them sellable so you can get rid of them if you have to.

Like coding in AI for the naval usage.
I hope you'll be able to find a way to go out of the boundaries for that.

There are also new stuff for the old generals. Also I "can" make a lot more generals, but since maximum number of AI controlled sides is 15 so it is pointless.

pointless is an opinion based on perspective, perhaps a large choice of generals may be good for a wide variety of tactics to choose from :)
