Guys, some time ago I found this cool model of phase 2 ARF helmet (phase 2 AT-RT driver)
It's in .3ds and has no textures. But we like it and we want to use it in the mod.
So, why is the noise? Because we don't know who is the author! And we want to give credits, of course. I found it in a forum, where the guy who published the model was asking the same.
So, please, if anyone has idea who may be the creator, please write us in PM or in comments section here! It's very important to us!
These models all look very basic probably no more than 200 polys, why dont you just retopo it make a small change and its yours
The model does also look a bit strange anyway, theres is clearly not brilliant topology anyway because of all that weird shading.
Because to be yours one model you have to start it from scratch.
It's like you are telling me I can go to your house, make a hole in the door, or some other modification, and claim it mine because I made some changes.
And we want to give credits to the original author. I will make changes on this model

Did the file came with a notepad file? Usually it should have the original creater's name(Whenever its placed in).
Do you think I won't check that file if it existed?
No why would I? And the way you answered means the file is there but no creator name right? And I do not mean to offence you in any way.(If I did, I apologize greatly for it.)

I'm at work, and was little nervous hour ago and the response was too hard, my bad. And no, there was no other files, except the *.3ds
Now that I think about it. I would like to learn to make models and animations. I'm not going to get jobs though.

Might you consider listing the author as this:
Unknown (If you are the original author or know the person that was, please contact us at your earliest convenience and we'll list you in our credits)
That way you can still use it without knowing who it is, but you leave the option of the original author still being able to get credit for their work? :)
Yes, we was thinking about something like this, but we hoped the someone will recognize the model. We will use it :)
