Freeworlds: Tides of War is a fan built Star Wars total conversion mod for Digital Anvil's Freelancer game that was released several years ago. When fans began to make mods for Freelancer, one of the many things people were keen on seeing was a Freelancer mod based on the Star Wars universe developed by George Lucas. Freeworlds and Tides of War were the answer to this outcry. The development team of both mods have now joined forces to create an epic new Star Wars TC, Freeworlds: Tides of War.
This is a small showcase of the brand new normal and specular mapping for the Imperial Star Destroyer, flagship of the Imperial Navy (and of Freeworlds: Tides of War!).
Couldn't be sexier. Nice work
agreed
Wow! :o Th&t's beautyfull!!! Awesome work. Where are you going after?
Disney World? :D
If you mean what ship, we have several on the go now.
wait... this isn't gonna be an actuall ingame model right?
Can't think of a way how the freelancer engine would pull that off with several ships on my screen.
But if it is... Man that would be ******* AWESOME!
the FL engine already handles the OLD version, which has more than 140k more polygons, making it harder to render. So FL has no issue shrugging this girl off.
Ya, as Anubis mentioned, our old model was 140k polys which caused lag when there were more than one on the screen. With them being only 40k polys now, she can hold quite a few more without much difficultly.
hm ye I should've just read the update, ******* my pants!
this IS what a star destroyer SHOULD look like!
AWESOME WORK!
