What's the story?

Old communists leaders have orchestrated a revival of the socialist mindset among youths in the Russian military. Seeking a return to the imagined glory of the Cold War era, these new thugs have become the muscle behind a return to
Communist policies. In response, a vocal and radically pro-democratic movement has risen to resist the despots and power mongers. Missions will revolve around two ultimate goals: destruction of the Neocommunist movement and support of the pro-Democratic forces.

Within the upcoming PC Gamer UK May 2003 edition you'll find a lovely collection of game related software on DVD. Thanks to Rocky at Ghost Recon.net, an updated version of the Free Russia! Campaign is contained within. This is the initial public release for the new 1.1 version of the mod for Ghost Recon. The new version contains fixes for the 'shadow' bug introduced in Ghost Recon patch 1.3. that has wrecked havoc with missions released previously.

How about the chinese taking over USA with Russia backing them, post-apolyptic style, and you the hero of course being the key agent in reversing such a catastrophe?
not saying that such thing would happen. but it would make a great what-if scinario :).
