Forlorne Lands is a map pack (NOT a mod) of two hard 144x144 scenarios for Disciples II: Rise of the Elves.

The current maps in the pack are:

Vinland: The New World

When the lands of Four Races became barren and their inhabitants began suffering deprivations of every sort, their rulers were forced to send emissaries to distant lands and found Vinland, a vast idyllic continent, rich in bounty and spoil, protected by an odd gathering of all the world's races. Now is the time is to invade, and it will prove to be no easy task.

Four rulers, five factions, one continent ripe for taking:

  • slow-paced
  • relatively hard
  • no mercenary camps, no recruitable units
  • each of four magic shops sells all spells
  • only two trainers
  • only two potion merchants
  • no unique merchants
  • a slew of powerful items scattered all around the map
  • three special resource locations: Albo (5 secluded resource spots), 5 mana crystals guarded by a Mana Demon, and a Mining Town with 5 gold mines
  • spawning of roaming enemy parties starts around turn 60
  • many parties guard, not just stand

Reclamation: The Continents of Yore

The vast continents of yore are up for retaking. After returning and re-establishing their capitals, four rulers set on a quest to reclaim their lost lands, to gain new territories and possessions in this old, once abandoned part of the world.

Several continents, pre-terraformed, can be found here, as well as many unique merchants and spell shops.

  • fast-paced
  • fairly difficult
  • nearly all resources are pre-owned
  • almost all of the land is terraformed but most of it is in the rivals' territory so you may have to reclaim it by the time you reach other islands or continents
  • enemy spawn commences right at the beginning of the game, around turn 7-9
  • a ton of permanent stat increase potions are strewn around
  • a Monastery of All Realms where elven and human healers (except the very base ones) can be hired
  • the Witchkeep where witches, hags, succubi, incubi, etc. can be recruited
  • four trainers, one near each capital
  • there are two magic shops for each domain of spells, so ten shops in total
  • plenty of merchants placed on the map; five sellers of potions, plus unique stores of tomes, boots, staves, orbs, talismans, artifacts and banners
  • very few parties guard the area around their position, nearly all just stand

Warnings and recommendations:
- there is only a minimal amount of dialogues and lore
- numerous spawned armies, so it may be better to keep at least one stronger main army and/or play as a Mage Lord
- it is also recommended to increase the AI difficulty since the in-game AI has some trouble progressing through the maps, or alternatively, to play against human players instead of AI players

This two maps are beautiful, interesting idea that the map is in another continent Vinland: The New World and The continents of Yore.

I like everything except that netrual players on the map Vinland who come on day 60 who attacks are not hard enough and an artifact I can't reach due to blue big Crystal with three life crystal mana Resource, big crystal blocks the wall to artifact!
