As always, I continue showing work which it runs on the game, nothing of strange concepts or proyects which nobody know if they will run. With the last ideas from my Star Trek mod, I have improved the older galactic map. At the end, we can see a galaxy where planets are on positions more 3D than never.

I think you have misplaced some of the planets. You probably should check with Star Wars: The Essential Atlas, or/and Wookipedia, or/and The Online Companion (Appendix) here: Starwars.com or here: Starwars.com
Well, it might be because of the 3D placement of the planets, but I doubt this is the case here.
Some examples are Bakura (it's not near Illum at all), Naboo, Kiffu and Kiffex are in the same system, Nal Hutta and Nar Shaddaa too (actually Nar Shaddaa is in the moon of Nal Hutta), Byss is a lot closer to the Galactic Core, Tatooine and Geonosis are very, very close, etc. For planets in the same system, I understand if they're shown separate, but still try to put them closer if possible.

You are right with most of your thoughts but they would be impossible, very bad mistakes when you make them on the game or the video is not showing you the true about the planet positions.
I made the first galactic map 6 years ago...most of the things that you have thought today, I have thought them before.;)
When a galactic map is made, the position from planets must be relative to the true and they must be made thinking on the gameplay. If I put two planets very close....you do not go to select your troops.
Next this map is 3D but when you watch the video, you can not see everything.
At the end Byss is the center of the galaxy and Ilum is not close to Bakura. Geonosis is not far from Tatooine. Kiffex is very close to Kiffu and the same happens with Narshadda and Nal Hutta.
Ah I have the Atlas and most of the star wars guides, most of the books, most of the comics and many other things from sw universe.
If I had not looked them............Breental could be down and Fondor to the left. ;)
tattooine and geonosis are 1 parsec from each other. whereas geonosis is halfway across the galaxy from coruscant
