Alliance are a serie of different mods. On the Star Wars GC, you can play the civil war Empire vs Rebel era + Black Sun and soon the Republic and CIS.
I have very good news. This is the time from the return of the campaigns. Yes, you are not reading wrong, thanks to the new patch released by Petroglyph for the Steam game version. I can add easily the campaigns again because all the failures and crashes loading the files are part of the past. It is a fact how the new Steam version is more stable than other game version before and it has not the bad errors.
For the record, the Petroglyph people have confirmed how they will not release the patch for other version because it is not possible. The patch needs Steam and the multiplayer can not work without it.
Because the campaigns need them, there will be again things as the ground commanders spawing thousands of units and launching special bombardements. Only I will add some special changes as high prices, higher building times and the ground commanders will use a vehicle instead from walk. It will be a bit better way.
I am thinking restore the big GC. Very probably. At least there is a campaign with many planets.
By the moment, I have recorded the first Rebel Mission. In the 2 DVDs version playing the same files from 7.55B, it was less perfect and easily it gave problems. But now, it works very good.
(For the record, if I note how some of this do not work, I can remove everything without ask).
