Alliance are a serie of different mods. On the Star Wars GC, you can play the civil war Empire vs Rebel era + Black Sun and soon the Republic and CIS.

Anyone who plays this on hard level should know that you need all the defensive weapons you can get.

Yeah with all the enemy fleets attacking your planets, you need every weapon you can get.

Description

There will be two planetary weapons more, the LNR I+V150 Ioncannon and the LNR II+V150 Ioncannon, both are a upgrade from the single Ioncannon (Rebels) and hypervelocity gun (Empire). On these screenshots you can see the LNR II+V150 firing, perhaps you think that it is very powerful weapon but it is very bad firing to starships at movement, a ISD has not problems for evade it if it is at movement. Of course a big starship is a good target but these ships can support a lot of damage.

If you are thinking on Black Sun, the starbase main cannon is more powerful and it can fire at least to two starships at same time.

And yes you can continue building the space hypervelocity gun and space iongun. Probably you think that there are a lot of defense weapons but the enemies will attack you with very powerful fleets and by example you can not upgrade more of one planetary defense weapon to LNR system at same time. You will need choose what are the systems that you want defend with them because probably you can not add these weapons on all the systems.
