Firearms: Source is a team based first person shooter, rooted in the traditions of the Firearms mod for Half-Life. Firearms: Source brings the best aspects of Firearms to the Source engine, and then takes them a step further. You'll see a host of familiar weapons and maps, but you'll find the streamlined game play to be faster, focusing on aggressive, skilled play. From nearly the moment you spawn you can expect to be engaged in furious action.

Happy Holidays Firearms: Source Fans! I hope you all had a nice break during the holidays, it was also a nice time for us to unwind. However, now that the holidays are over, we are back to work. Today we have a few goodies to give to you so that you can show your support. We have new logos and branding made by our very own Undertone. We have removed ourselves from the old Stencil font and have gone with something a bit more modern, as well as giving ourselves a cool new logo to update the FA image. You will see these new logos reflected on our website banner as well as these new wallpapers that were also made by Undertone.

Now in terms of mod status, as you can see from the wallpapers, we plan on release Firearms: Source in 2010. Unfortunately, we can't be more specific with that date because, while we have finished all of our art assets, we still have some code issues we are trying to iron out. If we were to release the game right now, we are afraid that certain gameplay elements would come to a halt because of some of the more critical bugs. Another area where we are still working hard, is our mapping department. We are trying to ensure that you are having the best gaming experience on our maps from a gameplay standpoint and visually, while also maintaining a steady FPS. So while our coding and mapping department works on these areas, we will have our art department working on a Fan Art pack as well as content for the next full update after our release.

While you are waiting, you can also check out our new Manual page that will be used to help new users learn how to play the game. Currently it is under construction, but there is enough there to help you get an understanding of the games dynamics. The only part that is currently absent from the page is the HUD description, which will be updated soon. You will see we also have a 'Pro-Tips & Hints' section where we will help new players understand certain elements or features that may otherwise be missed when just playing the game.

We would really like to thank all of our fans and followers for your patience, and we promise to release the mod to you this year.

I like the logo. Don't pull a BMS and this should turn out be a pretty spiffy year for mods.

...don't bull a BMS? If you honestly think BM* was the first one to push back a release date then you are dumb. Also, nice job giving your mature feedback instead of nagging about black mesa witch I might add has no obligation to release what so ever.

By the way these wallpapers are great, I love the logo as well.

BMS is getting old, at this rate they will release when Valve closes it's books on the half life world (ep3 release).

So I can see where he's coming from. And all this 'we will release' and then 'oeps, not really but we WILL release' talk is just stupid. better to say nothing at all.

Nice new logo and wallpapers!

********, you can't just say your going to release for 6 ******* years and not release, it's giving people false hope.

I took the first wallpaper. It is simple and the colors are nice. By the way, the 1600x1200 wallpaper has a 1900x1200 resolution.
