Christ, imagine this mod on Fallout 4 with its settlement building. Being able to escape that vault with those guys and make a town would be p great.

I'm pretty sure the Raider Alliance wouldn't allow that in their territory until late in the game where you have become their Warlord in the Revanchist plotline. The NCR would force you to pay taxes and draft your healthy adults as soldiers by force. :p

That'd be a pain. :p I hate when "features" don't jive with the main plot or atmosphere. It makes the game feel schizophrenic.

The illustrious A Night in Pinehaven Quest has taunted players for 2 years now. It was the last quest marker at the end of BETA 131. In BETA 200, it will be the site of your first night's sleep in the Wasteland.

You CAN choose to skip Pinehaven, but your fatigue from being woken up in the middle of the night after a big game, nearly burned alive under a pile of rubble, discovering your family murdered, almost getting shot to death in the Enclave Revolt, then barely surviving your first 5 minutes out of the Vault by sprinting away from the war-zone outside... well, it's taken a toll on your stats. A good night's sleep should cure it under the watchful gaze of your tribal guardian Kurtz.

But, if you managed to save all 6 companions in Vault 18, not all of them get along with one another. You have to manage the volatile clash of personalities as they are forced to rely on one another for the first time in their lives.

If you don't interrupt their argument, things get... hostile.
