Imagine, a Hollywood producer got his hands on the game. The result would be similar to what the Cinematic Mod is: a graphics blockbuster, redesigned to the typical game to movie adaption with an orchestral soundtrack and beautiful people everywhere.

techdemo quality. Very impressive. Reminds me, how ugly the original valve alyx was.
Alyx were made in 2003, it was mid-poly model, and she was very impressive for that time. I think it's not correct to compare these models.
But.. I can't disagree: 4096^2 textures looks better than 1024^2
and 40k polygons have much more details, than 7k.
Its 2015 now, yes Alyx was a very detailed character. At the time. but look at it now.

@Anderson_sabrina, if you wanna compare something with something which is 7 year older, you can compare CoD 1 and CoD 6, or Half-life and Half-life 2.
When you do this, you'll see, that technique changes, like from old 500 MHz processors to 4x3,2 GHz processors.
This is a reasonable coparison because of how these two models were created with the same seven year old engine. These images are a testement to how the source engine can not only stand the test of time, but can also still produce amazing graphics. The Cinematic Mod does not crap in the face of Valve as people claim, but actually glorifies Valve.

what model used? original HD or lima HD?
How the hell did you get the face to have such great realistic quality? Both the technical side and actual new detailed face? Is it from a photo reference?

dang you can even see where her eyebrows have been plucked. That's a crazy amount of detail. I just built a new computer and will have to try out this mod :)
I still prefer original alyx.
