I like to announce EVE: RTS (work name) It's a mod about EVE Online developed by myself, featuring ships and other objects directly from the original Game. Models and Textures were extracted using TriExporter. CCP confirmed that I can use their Artwork. (see end of summary)

Frigate - Merlin
Destroyer - Cormorant
Cruiser - Caracal
Battlecruiser - Drake
Battleship - Raven

Holy smokes... Seeing this, I wonder how you would impliment T2,T3 and non-combat ships.
T2 and T3 won't be ingame - at least not with their own Hod files..
Only the 4 fleets (5 ships per fleet) and the ORE ships are about 300-400 MB and I have additional ~1 GB of stuff hodded buy not in the first release.
If I would do models for the T2 and T3 variants it would really blow up the mods size.
But you'll see nearly all models ingame when the mod is done. But there won't be varians of the ships.
So you may see a Merlin but no Worm and an Apocalypse but no Paladin.
For non combat ships. I have Done most of them but they still have no use.
Ore ships are Used for mining now and Frighters will build stations / Pos or whatever you'll have thats stationary.
The Rorqual will combine a medium station builder and a Resource dropoff
