Still work in progress.
The reason the windows are offset slightly from their parent objects is because if 2 faces are too close together, the game cannot distinquish between which face it wants to render. From further away this problem gets worse, resulting in flickering lights. With enough distance between the lights and the main mesh, this problem goes away.

So far with the trench + lights, hangars + hangar lights, the mesh is sitting at 15.5K polies and due to the nature of the pre-textured kitbash pieces, only a few textures. The ship is exceptionally optimized for what it is, if there are performance problems it's a simple case of deleting some of the more poly intensive pieces on the ship. Turret use is going to be cut down severely in these ship redos, the ISD will only have the 8 main batteries and 2 quad ion cannons turreted. This will help with both messy targetting as well as performance.

Amazing detail, I did not even think that the game engine is capable of this, after all, so many years have passed.

This isn't in the game engine yet, these renders are made in 3ds max. However the current poly count, while high for a model for EAW, is not anywhere near the most poly intensive models that are already in the game. I'm using a similar amount of polies as before, just far more effectively.

Really this is just me finally having learned how to properly use my poly count and texture space better. Where as 5 years ago I threw these around not knowing what to do with them, now I actually have a proper build method and having learned a lot over the past years, that makes all the difference.

Amazing work as always. Have you ever considered to import your assets in a modern engine just to see how far you can go?

Rest in peace my dear turrets. So much fun we had, but for the Greater Good your deletion is needed.

Is there a way to make the Ui transparent again?
Like copying the files necessary for that from an older version of the mod and paste them in version 3.0?
And if so, can somebody tell me how?

Btw version 3.0 is a very nice piece of work.
This Mod makes me enjoy the game again.
Thank you for that.

Description

Work is progressing on the ISD kitbash pieces.

We now have trench template sections for all star destroyers, and kitbash pieces to make both superstructure and other details quickly and without the need to UV, texture, or rig them. Took a while for the kitbash pieces to be done, but now all future builds will go much, much faster.
