Full Version 3 commentsFull version of the ELDOOM mod for Doom 3. Windows and Linux is supported.
ELDOOM is a single player Doom 3 campaign with lots of action which contains a full story from beginning to end. It makes use of high quality portal skies, large custom quality maps and features music from Sonic Mayhem and Bill Brown. It contains many new custom cinematics and animations to go along, a classic nightmare mode and much more!
The Doom 3 patch v1.3 (Windows / Linux / Mac) or 1.3.1 (Windows / Linux - No Mac support) is required to play.
Originally released in 2007 at PlanetDoom.com (offline) and Doom3World.org (offline) under the author elroacho (a team of myself and some friends).
Custom Options:
Always run with no stamina (toggleable on/off).
Slightly modified weapons (toggleable on/off).
Classic nightmare mode (toggleable on/off).
INSTALL
--------------------------------------------
Extract the eldoom.zip to the root of your "..\Doom 3\" directory. It should place the eldoom mod files in the new "..\Doom 3\eldoom" folder.
If you are using Doom 3 version 1.3.1 or higher (most likely), copy the 2 files in "..\Doom 3\eldoom\dlls_v.1.3.1" to the root of the mod "..\Doom 3\eldoom" overwriting the existing files.
If you have the high quality music pak: pak_eldoom_hq_music.pk4
Place it in the eldoom directory: "..\Doom 3\eldoom\pak_eldoom_hq_music.pk4"
DOUBLE BARREL SHOTGUN

If you have Doom 3: Resurrection of Evil installed, you can run the file: double_barrel_shotgun.exe
It will extract the needed assets from RoE and place them in a new pak file the eldoom folder. It will automatically spawn in the map: The Caverns
Or in the console type:
give weapon_shotgun_double
STARTING THE MOD

1) Either make a shortcut to doom3.exe and edit the properties so it looks something like:
"C:\Doom 3\Doom3.exe" +set fs_game eldoom
Then select NEW GAME to play
OR
2) Start Doom 3 and select MODS in the main menu. Select ELDOOM from the list and then click LOAD.
Then select NEW GAME to play

so is tis a launcher similar to enhanced edition or completely different?
what does it do exactly>
ELDOOM adds 5 maps which plays as an expansion with a story, similar to how Resurrection of Evil adds an additional campaign to play through. Doom 3 Enhanced Edition modifies the base game, it doesn't add more maps/missions AFAIK.

Not at this time, ELDOOM was the only Doom 3 mod I made.

Version 1.3 DLL's are included for Windows, Linux and Mac.
DLL's for version 1.3.1 are included for Windows and Linux only. There's no Mac 1.3.1 dll.
