Good old fortress, I look forward to it I'll conquer with the hordes of Orcs and siege towers.
But rangers you could move outside the walls, they mainly operated out of the city and ambush the orcs and evil men.
I'd rather see the rangers camp on faraway build plots.

Arnor has the same fortress?

How about make rangers buildabale in standard archers barracks, but with big price.

And have another exlusive building outside, where they are much more cheaper. (with some else goodies)

Is there any way you can include an upgrade to expand it? Like have another wall ring put outside?
Maybe do something similar with the other fortresses, so you can build more things inside

That's not possible as it would need too much room and this room isn't there on 90% of the maps...:/

When I played BFME1 again I found that I never built wells or statues due to the limited number of build plots (usually the back of the base is full with farms) and their limited range i.e. the well would only heal my archers on the half of the wall closest to it. I was thinking that maybe you could put a small build plot in-between where the statue and the well is in this picture. You know right in the centre-front of the base where it would look good. You could only build either a statue or a well in this build plot but the aura of it's affect would be over the entire base. Of course the price of the statue/well would need to increase drastically to accommodate this new ability, also you would not be able to build a well/statue in any other build plot in the base -so don't get overlapping affects. So essentially you choose whether or not all unit in your base get healing effect or damage/armour boost.
