A rework of the Black Guard. They are the heroic units of Angmar, recruited from the Hall of the King's Men.
They're horrifying >:D how ever the edges of their mouths seem strange nothing big though but please due something about the horse textures because most of them as this are totally out of sync with the texture levels of every thing else.
Oh... So now we can see how did proto-Morgul riders look like! Cool! :)

They're a heroic unit, so at about the same power level. Probably a bit stronger than the Citadel Guard due to their abilities, but they can't switch to pikes.

Love the horse... but not the armor, expecially the helmet. They look like something a generic evil character would wear, and do not give an aura of nobility and discipline typical of the men of Carn Dum.
My honest opinion.
I have to agree with you on this one, even though the model itself is beautifull. I also don't see any reference to the Iron Crown on their armor, even though of all units these guys should be wearing the Iron Crown symobol on their armor/shield. It shows their pride to fight for the Witch-King.
Their shield itself is a stylized Iron Crown symbol. Note how it's framed by two spikes curving outward with one larger spike in the center.

I agree, while their armour is epic, I think the helmet is not that cool. While all other Carn Dum units got cool spartan like armours and helmets these guys stay like the old days.
Yeah, maybe too much skeleton-like details an too many spikes and ridges. I think they can look more imposing and noble with less. I miss some Iron Crowns in the armor too, as Fredius said.
It's coming back why i don't like edains angmar. Have to agree , their design is too non-tolkien for me. I am interesting in what team has done to Zaphragor , gulzar and others Warcraft-ish things in angmar.
What exactly do you find non-tolkien in them?

I will post just one question,
Why they don't have any simbols on their shields or chest armor which corresponds to Witch King? Is there reason for this?
I mean, they are heroic unit from Hall of the man, so they are black Numenoreans?
Other regular units have iron crown on their chest armor, which I find really nice and good.
I really find unit well done, but there is no "mark" or Witch king on them which is maybe a bit out of place. They look evil and badass, but they look like little brothers of Castelians. Maybe some iron crown symbol will determine their evil side in more accurate way. :)
It is just my expression after first observation of this unit. ;)

On an unrelated topic, can we have standard Mirkwood Spearmen like what we saw for the phalanx in the Battle of the Five Armies? And can Mirkwood be an alternate faction to Lorien as they were both powerful kingdoms in Middle-earth and, while they united to raze Dol Guldur, Mirkwood and Lorien are quite different culturally and playability wise. Perhaps as alternates like the Dwaves but under the title of the Wood-elves?

i love the red eyes in their horses...true evil..!! just like the black rides
