New page design + pwning mod = Epic win
Congratulations on the Steam release guys, very well deserved. Downloading now :D
Alright! Downloading right now!
I cannot install games through the steam website because it does not recognize the steam protocol, is there an alternate way to download this?
Have you tried directly through the Steam browser?
Hit this link: Install
That link along with everything else I've tried just gets me an error. "Firefox doesn't know how to open this address, because the protocol (steam) isn't associated with any program." Reinstalling steam doesn't help, using other browsers doesn't help. Vista just doesn't recognize the steam protocol at all and wont open anything containing it.
Try contacting Steam support.
Try directly on Steam; from the STORE tab home click game mods under the free stuff section on the left hand side. All of the Steamworks-enabled mods should be listed on there. Click on Dystopia and then the green INSTALL button underneath the image and description. Good luck!
I got it, I had to manually go into the registry and set permissions to admin on the part of the key dealing with the protocol. For some reason I wasn't allowed access to that part of the registry and that's why it wasn't working.
Try this:
Go to - Steam -> Store -> Game Mods -> Dystopia
Did you not read that stenchy wrote that + he already figured out the problem! :p
Yeah i missed his comment. But the comment can still be useful for anyone else having problems.
Go through the Store tab in Steam itself. In left margin, about halfway down the main page, there's a section called "Free Stuff."
Go to Mods, and Dystopia will be on the first page. This should bypass any issues you're having with Fx/Steam compatibility.
Edit: not to self - read other posts on page before replying. Fail. :(
I just jizzed in my pants.
Awesome, awesome, and just to mention Awesome. First guys to make a fun HL2 mod in my opinion. Keep on updating now and working on new maps, and the fan base shall never leave.
w00t! Downloading now.
Me and my LAN party buddies are gonna go kick arse
I'm jealous of this MODDB page.... :P This should bring in more players. I'll give it a dl...
Hell, it's about time!
OMG the theme changed :O
Steam finds no server. Odd.
Some players are having problems with the steam server browser, try using the in-game browser.
Yep, it only works ingame browser... Get it fixed.
That is valve's problem, nothing Team Dystopia can fix.
It's just me or there are no server available?
Anyway I just played the tutorial: awesome!!!
Can't wait to play it!
P.
PS: Isn't the ingame browser the one that is bringed up by pressing "Find server" link? If no, it doesn't work either... :(
It was a problem and it has been fixed.
Thanks for the reply!
I'm happy to hear everything is fine now!
I can't see the time to go back home and play it!
Really brilliant work, congratulations!
