Doom ][ for Doom 3 by Disposable Heroes, a Remake of the Classic Doom ][ game by id Software for the Doom III engine.
The Disposable Heroes mod team, has been working hard to bring back the original feel of Doom ][, so far the 10 maps have been re-created, by hand, and even monster the monster layout's have been preserved (or enhanced) for all 4 skill levels:

As well as bringing back classic features, such as level story intros, end of level stats, the use key, and soon an auto-map and even co-op play.

Dead mods like this are why I celebrate when a mod is actually finished.
Ya I know I wish somone will remake the old dooms. ESP doom 2. But there is a complete remake of the first doom 1 episode and there is a mod in development that is remaking the 3'rd doom chapter. And possible the second chapter.
already happening id software are remaking doom2 and calling it doom 4

No updates since 2005. Pretty safe to say this mod is dead.
I just went to replay this mod but when I try to load it I get this error Rong Dll ApI version. I get this when I try to start up just about every mod I get for doom 3. Does anyone know how to fix this error. It worked before but one day I uninstalled doom 3 but when I wanted to play again I reinstalled Doom 3 and the mods and thats when I started getting this dumb error.

The wrong game dll API version error is cause by conflict between the gamex86.dll and doom3.exe versions.
I was getting this error for months and couldn't run mods or run doom.
It happens when you install a mod that is not compatible with the doom version you have installed. For example, I installed doom3 v1.3 and then installed a mappack/no-cd mod , when I tried to patch to doom3 1.3.1 for vista I got that error when launching the game.
I only overcame this error yesterday. I had to uninstall doom3, make sure to maually delete the doom3 folder from program files (as for some reason the uninstaller doesn't do this and leads to problems), you can copy your savesgames folder first and replace it in the program files\doom3\base folder after you reinstall. Then reinstall and straight away patch the game to 1.3.1, or don't if you want to ru mods that are only supported by v1.3. You must check whether a mod is supported by the version you are running before you install it or you will run into this prblem again. Any time you remove doom3 you must delete the doom3 folder from program files.
