Doom ][ for Doom 3 by Disposable Heroes, a Remake of the Classic Doom ][ game by id Software for the Doom III engine.
The Disposable Heroes mod team, has been working hard to bring back the original feel of Doom ][, so far the 10 maps have been re-created, by hand, and even monster the monster layout's have been preserved (or enhanced) for all 4 skill levels:

As well as bringing back classic features, such as level story intros, end of level stats, the use key, and soon an auto-map and even co-op play.

I Havn't seen any thing new on there main sight, is this mod still in development.
Nice to hear a mod that could bring the good old Doom II to the Doom III engine. But in opinion, I like it better when the mod will be a complete remake of Doom II to make players feel what's like playing the old Doom II in the new Doom III engine with the new gameplay and atmosphere of the engine.
Also in my opinion, bringing the old Doom II to the Doom III engine along with the same gameplay and levels sounds good for those who've played it before so they can feel what's like playing Doom II again, but those who haven't might just find it too cheezy. Anyway, good luck on the project guys. Can't wait.

this seems to cheesy.would rather see doom 2 levels on doom 3
thats exactly what this is Ronnie. its the first 10 levels of doom 2, remade with the doom 3 engine. (ID Tech 4)
i have a problem, my save/load menu is screwed up... i cant overwrite a file thats already been saved and i cant delete a saved game either its reallty stupid... its a great mod but i have to start over every time i play it. could someone tell me how to fix this???
