When attacking an Essence base, you can expect Smart Mines to be there. Since they can distinguish between fried and foe due to ID microchips every Essence unit and soldier has, they can be safely placed even inside a base. Smart Mines will detonate to harm only objects without the coded signal signature.
EMP Drones are small tracked robots carrying a single-use EMP Bomb. Detonating the bomb completely fries the drone's circuits, making it one-time use only.
Both Smart Mines and EMP Drones need detectors to be seen by the enemy.
