Lets get the installation instructions out of the way:
1. Have Star Trek Armada Fleetops already installed on your computer.
2. Download this mod
3. Unzip this mod to anywhere on your computer in a separate folder from the original fleetops game.
I do not use GOG myself, but it is possible to play my mod with it. I would suggest visiting the fleetops website on how to make this mod work with that.
So, what is new about this version???
Cardassians and Breen:
Breen now have weaker defenses, but are now faster compared to the other races.
Cardassians are a little weaker offensively (on the show they were the weakest race), but now their strength is in defense compared to the other races.
Both the Cardassians and Breen have some new special weapons at their disposal.
Federation:
Galaxy class is stronger offensively.
Oydessy class is now a warp-in hero
Klingons:
K'vorcha class is buildable in one of the super battle stations
Romulans:
Model and name swap with the tavaras and the Kerchen
Hegemony station now builds the Praetor Command Ship
Borg:
Now has shipyards
There are likely many other changes I'm missing that I've now forgot, but you'll have to explore the game to find out all the new goodies. Enjoy!!

The mod is okay, but seriously the factions a overly unbalanced. For example the Klingons are still like stock fleetops, there advanced science vessel can build 3 of them because of how powerful the Ion Storm ability is. Here the Breen can build multiple science vessels with the same abilities. The games overall damage system is a mess of a mixture between standard armada 2 type damage and fleetops. This cause the game to be more of a spam game than anything else. Honestly the mod has great potential but the design is lazy, just put everything into on mod and hope it works...

anyway to play this with the gog version
I guess there's no one here to bother helping with my problem then....
There seems to be a problem with the option launcher window being too small, it was normal sized when I launched it to begin with but when I exited a game to start another the window shark and now I can't see anything properly when selecting races, maps etc anything in the options before launching instant action.
Hi mate, this problem exists with the game being 20 years old. The screen is set at a very low 800x600 screen. Try lowering your resolution to 1920H 1200W and see if it is better.

Awesome mod, any plans to add Species 8472?
Well, the mod is pretty good, but the Borg are pumping out cubes like crazy. There's a constant stream of spheres, dodehachrons, pyramids, cubes, tactical cubes traveling across the entire map only to get to my starbase. Even hard NPCs are not able to, even when the Borg are on normal and even if you raise the construction costs globally and even if you're also pumping out ships like crazy.
That needs to get balanced, because you can't hold of the Borg.
