Description
This was going to be the splash screen when launching the beta with Hangfling's launcher. Unfortunately the game only supports a 8-bit (256) color image and this graphic had to be left out. What a shame.

What a shame.
(Why can't you save it as an 8-bit image by the way? Looks fine to me.)
Just realized that if I use Floyd–Steinberg dithering it actually looks pretty decent :) I was just converting it to an 8-bit image without any specialized options and the background looked horrible.

I just did a bog-standard conversion in Photoshop - you can see some banding in the background but nothing really noticeable.
It's surprising how little a 256 colour pallete limits textures.
