I have to be honest those screenshots are a bit underwhelming. Is this going to be a 1:1 recreation? because it looks so blocky and devoid of detail that it really looks like the first Deus Ex, more than a "remake". I would strongly advise you to take a design decision over the artstyle and go through with it, maybe akin to Human Revolution to stay consistent with continuity. Because I dont think people want to replay the exact same game 20 years later, no matter how powerful UE5 is.

I would strongly disagree with that statement. People have been replaying Deus Ex for years, with or without mods. There is extensive replay value and each mod adds on top of that experience.

No. It's a recreation of DX1 as if the original design document were followed to a T, not a 1:1 remake of vanilla. If you want a vanilla experience just play the OG game.

Yeah, the plan is to make the game UI, mechanics, and some sounds modern up-to-par with HR and MD. Maybe even surpass both in some ways. Consider the screenshots an extremely early pre-alpha. The final build will have significant more detail despite the art direction we choose to go with.

This was amazing! Deus Ex with updated visuals and a touch of modern game design seems like the perfect game. Hope to see more of this remake!
