We have exams at the moment and we are really busy. When we do continue to develop the project it will be in the HL2 engine as this seems to be easier to work with and has greater potential. We hope you will continue to support us throughout the development process.

Yeah, we are trying to take all of your ideas on board, at the moment we are snowed under with school work, finance problems and general inexperience! It also doesnt help that we have had no contact or input from the rest of our mod team. I am posting this as a final warning either conatct myself or salamander or be removed from the project!!!!!
They say they're porting Deus Ex, not Deus Ex: Invisible War. I have yet to see any signs of progress beyond the render of the pregnant man with no skin and part of the game's cover.

Good idea, first thing is first though, as with any mod, you are going to need a very dedicated coder, especially if you want to include conversations like the real Deus Ex, not trying to cut you guys down at all, I think it's a great idea, DX:IW had small levels, no multiplayer, and no SDK. But you are definately going to need a good programmer with good Unreal engine experience, for now I would suggest you do this:
1. Find that coder
2. When you do, don't try to make your own version of Deus Ex right off the bat, instead, try to port Deus Ex: Invisible War into a 2k4 mod only changing some of the code around as it is convenient (IE: HUD layout).
3. Once you have a ported/modified version of the game, then work on levels, weapons, characters and anything media-wise that needed changing in the original Deus Ex:IW.
That's just my 2 cents, but any way that you can pull this off, go for it!
